While chiropractic adjustments are our main form of treatment, we do have other options to help you regain or maintain your health. What we use depends on a patient's issue and preference.
Ultrasound. This theraputic modality is often used for the deep heat it can produce. It can aid in tissue relaxation, increased blood flow, and the breakdown of scar tissue. In instances where heat is not desired (an acute injury, for example) ultrasound can be pulsed.
Electrotherapy. Most people associate this machine with the tingling sensation produced from electrical currents that pass through the affected area. The physiological effects include an increase in localized blood flow to help with inflammation, decreased pain, and muscle stimulation.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. There are many different names for this treatment, but they essentially all involve using a instrument to help break up scar tissue and fascial restrictions. Ultimately improved range of motion and decreased pain are the goal.
Taping/bracing. When muscles are strained or ligaments are sprained, the use of tape or a brace may support the area to allow it to heal. We offer different applications of taping for different areas and problems. If a brace is needed we can help you get the correct one.
Orthotics. Custom-made orthotics aren't just for foot problems! While they can help with foot pain, they may also be used to maintain proper posture and alignment to help relieve knee, hip, and low back discomfort.
We are also excited to offer Reiki and massage therapy services at the office. Contact Princess at Heartcore Healing to set up an appointment.

While many people can benefit from chiropractic care, not every issue is a chiropractic case. When necessary we refer patients to specialists or back to their primary care physician. Different doctors have different roles.
